Shannon’s Rules for Success
Hi everyone, its me, Shannon, AKA Queen of the Jump Rope. Who knew in the year 2020, jump roping skills could give a girl street cred? As Skater of the Week, I was asked to tell you a bit about myself, and share my:
SHANNON'S RULES FOR SUCCESS
RULE #1: Sometimes the rules are made to be bent, not necessarily broken, just bent a little.
RULE #2: Sweet snacks, the color pink, and double flips are the BEST!
RULE #3: If you find $1,000 on the ground, you probably should invest in a Standard Poodle and a rabbit. The poodle won't likely be as sweet as my "Louis" but don't worry, I am sure it will be like Louis in some ways, and if you are having a rough day, you will be super thankful that you blew a cool grand on an even cooler friend... and a rabbit. Don't forget the rabbit.
RULE #4: Big Cities are way more fun than small towns. In big cities, I feel just like my literary doppelganger, Lucy from the Chronicles of Narnia while getting lost and bending rules.
RULE #5: "Never give up. Don’t get discouraged, and keep trying your best." This is what skating has taught me, and I feel pretty certain it is a rule I won't forget. I love skating and I really like the Academy because I get to work with so many great coaches and skaters there.
Well, thanks for checking out my RULES for SUCCESS. I will see you on the ice... or in the parking lot if you happen to be a parent.
